Applications areas
thermosept® X·tra enzymatic cleaner is an enzymatic cleaning concentrate designed for the automated reprocessing of thermostable and thermosensitive medical devices. These include surgical instruments, MIS and micro-instruments, robotic instruments, containers, lab ware, glass, surgical shoes, bedpans, and other medical devices commonly used in CSSD, as well as rigid and flexible endoscopes and their accessories.
The product is intended for thermal reprocessing in washer-disinfectors (WD) and container washers. It is compatible with disinfection components such as thermosept® ED (glutaraldehyde-based) and thermosept® PAA (peracetic acid-based) for chemothermal reprocessing in automated endoscope reprocessors (AER).
The outstanding cleaning performance of thermosept® X·tra enzymatic cleaner is achieved through an innovative system of detergents combined with high-performance enzymes. Even at low doses, it effectively removes organic contaminants such as blood, proteins, tissue residues, mucus, and fatty impurities.
The synergistic combination of active ingredients ensures excellent compatibility with materials, including sensitive ones like anodized aluminum and non-ferrous metals. With a pH-value above 10 and a ten-minute cleaning time at an elevated, non-protein-fixing process temperature, thermosept® X·tra enzymatic cleaner contributes to reducing the risk of vCJK (variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease) according to German RKI recommendations.
Instructions for use
Dosage:
Standard concentration: 0.5% (5 mL/L).
Depending on the degree of soiling: 0.3 - 1.0% (3 - 10 mL/L).
For the reprocessing of endoscopes: 35°C - 55°C, 3 - 10 min.
For the reprocessing of surgical instruments: 40°C - 60°C, 5 - 10 min.
The dosing, cleaning time, and temperature depend on the intensity of soiling and the type of wash ware.
Dosing is performed by machine-integrated dosing pumps.
Do not mix the concentrate with other chemicals.
The use of deionized water is recommended.
Please note recommendations of machine and instrument manufacturers.
Special Advice
Always read the label and product information before use.
